  • Colonial Williamsburg Independence Day Celebrations
    Featuring major events in Williamsburg and Yorktown. Daytime visitors to Colonial Williamsburgs Historic Area learn how the Colonists became American citizens. In the evening a traditional fireworks display thrills visitors on the Palace Green, Courthouse and Capitol grounds.

    The creeps come out at night as Howl-O-Scream returns to haunt Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Monstrous mayhem is on hand Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as this 17th century European-themed Adventure Park transforms into a scream" park full of Halloween fun.

    Experience 17th- and 18th-century holiday traditions. At Jamestown Settlement, a film and special guided tours compare and contrast English Christmas customs of the period with how the season may have been observed in the difficult early years of the Jamestown colony. At the Yorktown Victory Center, hear accounts of Christmas and winter in military encampments during the American Revolution & glimpse holiday preparations on a 1780s Virginia farm.
  • Williamsburgs First Night Celebration
    First Night is a non-alcoholic, family-oriented celebration. Welcome the New Year with a variety of entertainment at Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and Mary, concluding with a grand finale fireworks display at midnight.
